And there's the shotgun...

Smooth, satirical, hip, and dangerous. This is way better than what I originally thought this was going to be. Everyone sees these crazy-ass psycho movies about some guy killing some poor bastard in their family after a mental breakdown. Very rarely do we get to see a granny, defenseless and out of her element, yank a goddamn cannon out from under her bed and blast her only child in half.

The animation and backgrounds weren't the best in the world but who gives a shit? This was a great piece of animation and I'd watch it with my mom to prompt her into buying her own bedroom howitzer.

Haha! Thank you.

Tale of the Working Man

Who honestly would've come up with anything remotely close to this if they needed to do a video to "Working in a Coal Mine" by Devo? Just the fact that anyone can come up with something this original and creative is an achievement in and of itself. That being said, the static landscaping was an especially nice touch. It allowed me to really look at all the fine-tuning that went into making this. I was thoroughly impressed with this animated short. If this was released widely, I have no doubt it would compete with Pixar or Disney easily.

Pure Hollywood

I always love seeing an artist just say "fuck it" to symbolism, imagery, conscious ideology, and all that other fancy story-telling shit and just make something they think is bad-ass. Saunders clearly understands that more special effects and action works only when you overload the shit out of it on your project to make it seem almost like a clash of the titans.

The animation was smooth, the sound effects were maxed out, the soundtrack was decently selected without overdoing it, and the idea itself was simplistic enough to almost call genius. We need more shorts like this where it's made simply for pure entertainment. Excellent work especially for a one man project and I look forward to seeing more from Saunders.

How about that part where...

When I saw the title of this, I expected some half-assed version of an Egoraptor bit or maybe a retarded movie review by some moron that thinks he's the cat's pajamas. This was a fresh new way to approach a typical concept. Very nice work and I look forward to future reviews.

Clever and Morbid

This had the feel of some rejected Pixar short for adults. The idea was clever to say the least but overall, it could've been better. Beautiful animation and production! This was the best looking flash animation I've seen in a long time.

Obvious But Good

Unlike most of Firth's work, this piece was a little more obvious in its tenacity. The underlying points found in the script are brought up to the surface and made clear for any viewer to understand. The downside to this is that the entire short lacked the usual charm that is accompanied by Firth's style of writing and animation.

All that said, the concept was extremely creative as always and the other elements came together nicely. This wasn't his best work by a long shot but it still was very well constructed.

John Woo Meets The Marx Bros.

This whole cartoon was a big pile of hot, nasty, sex-bitch, action missile, titty farmer, pro-choice, ass kicking! The facial expressions, action sequences, and of course the fact that it's just two regular assholes with super powers make this an epic short loaded with a huge bucket of ass boom.

Way to make the boner, fellas. Way to make the boner...

An Imagination Unleashed

This was a really solid story that was made better by the unique visuals. The characters were well done and the story line didn't drag at all. The only really bad part was the sound effects and the overdone music selection. This piece would've been a bit more impacting if the music was as obscure as the visuals.

All in all, this was a great piece of animation. The creature design was a bit anime but it definitely worked. Some might say the rough style of animation could've been better but it fits the overall aesthetic of the piece. Excellent work on this one.

Slam it down, people!

I didn't think anyone could make a better wacky music loop than "Crabs" but this has completely blow that out of the water. That wasn't a pun, by the way, I was just turning a phrase! I think it's safe to say that Narwhals are the unicorns of the ocean and the dominators of this week's flash animation submissions.

Rocky Start

This wasn't all I was expecting when it started off. I've always wanted Egoraptor to do some kind of anime parody since the entire genre has turned mediocre. I can tell there was a large amount of work put behind this but I just don't see it in the final product. This idea is iron clad though and I do look forward to future episodes. As with most great ideas, they very rarely start out perfect or even good.

Since this is the first try I'm guessing the next episode will be even better. I just think Egoraptor approached this the same way he approached making parodies of video games. Sooner or later he and Tomar will realize you need a bit more substance to carry something like this. Here's to the next one.

Of course "Bass-Grenade" isn't my preferred alias to post under but Newgrounds, being an old site, already has a "Nishi" and a "Panda." I guess I'll have to make due with my rapper name for the time being.
