I think the "O Face" and of course the "Pissed Off" face are perhaps the greatest things to ever come from Egoraptor. I can't recall the last time I laughed so hard at a facial expression.

Interesting Exploration

I have the feeling that this idea came about when formula that couldn't work in the "Salad Fingers" series became too numerous. Numerous enough to make into one animated short of course. If more time might've been spent on the initial planning of the story it may have been a bit better. This was a very well done piece but I think we can all agree it isn't quite one the same playing field as Firth's other work.

A Solid Masterpiece

David Firth has put forth a decent collection of both bizarre and creative animated works. This is, in my opinion, his finest piece of work. Everything from the dialogue to the character design made this a delicate but powerful work of satire. I am extremely impressed with this short and I look forward to others of this calibre.

[Salad Fingers Episode 8]

The end of our strange friend...

I have enjoyed all parts of the "Salad Fingers" series but this one stuck out to me the most. The other pieces about this different creature were creative but seemed to stick to a formula of an unshakable universe that it has built around the character. Salad Fingers would touch some rust, meet another strange creature, indirectly kill it, and then he'd go to sleep after eating some disgusting food.

This story of Salad Fingers showed an entirely new side to the character and, in a sense, introduced us to a somewhat new character: The House. The radio that Salad Fingers converses with I thought was the voice of the house itself and for the first time in this series, Salad Fingers felt outmatched and almost frightened for his life. As good as this latest piece was, I fear this will mean that Salad Fingers will wither away in his safety cupboard until he eventually dies of starvation.
